The Journey Begins!

Today I was hit again. Smacked right across the face with that 'thing' that has been swimming around in my mind the past 4 years. This 'thing' continues to fill my mind and urge me to find a way to fulfill it. This 'thing' is calling my name. This 'thing' is the need to help others. The voice? GOD. He is the one who is whispering in my ear, each and every day. I feel a calling to help others. More-so, helping the children of Africa who have been deeply impacted with AIDS/HIV and having to live a life that does not offer them the opportunities that most of us take for granted.

Can I do this? The answer is simply, YES. The question is, How? I am trying to find different organizations that I can become involved in. Also, I am looking for volunteer opportunities to get my hands in the game. I just cannot imagine these children growing up without families, with AIDS, with no shoes, food or water...

My eyes and heart open up completely and I live each day more and more for God, for He is the One who will guide me on my journey through life, helping me find a way to help my fellow brothers and sisters.

Today, I am filled with joy and I am determined to get the wheels in motion to begin this amazing journey!

As I look back on 2010, a year that changed my life forever, I can now look on with hope and love and see my future full of great experiences that will continue to change my life and the lives of others.

Travel, Hope, Faith & Love... The journey begins!
